Why Lululemon Is Ahead of Its Time
Analysis of Lululemon's exceptional profitability and why as a business they are very much ahead of its time.
Although Lululemon operates in the same industry as Nike, Adidas and Under Armour, somehow Lululemon’s profit margins is by far the highest amongst its peers. With an average operating income margin of 20% over the last 5 years, it is 8% higher than Nike, 12% higher than Adidas, and an astonishing 20% higher than Under Armour, who struggles with an operating margin of literally 0%. For Lululemon to command such high margins within the cut throat retail apparel industry, it has to be doing something different from the rest of the crowd. While some people may think Lululemon’s succes...

How China's Largest Coffee Chain Surpassed Starbucks
Просмотров 330 тыс.Год назад
Analysis of Luckin Coffee's extraordinary comeback from its accounting scandal and how it subsequently surpassed Starbucks as China's largest coffee chain. Despite only being around for a few years, Luckin already has already overtaken Starbucks as the largest coffee chain in China. This is incredibly impressive considering how Luckin was established 18 years after Starbucks first entered China...
I love lululemon's quality and simplicity taste
The quality , durability textile choice , and finish is top notch . You get what you pay for with their products .
You didnt add this : Crazy amount of money pumped in.
looking at this presentation now I find it funny on the one hand, but I'm thinking that some of the guys bought this stuff back then and now have -45% in their portfolio. sucks
When most of your “artist” are talentless, amateurs, they will stick around for whatever scraps fall to the ground. It’s not like they can go do it on their own.
I love your videos man. Keep it up
Focus on the part where they don't accept cash. I hope they never allow that in the U S.
so few uploads
okay, i guess my next question is: how is spotify not bankrupt if they arent making any money? how do they continue to pay their employees if there is no profit being made?
where did u get the stock video?
Copy paste of modern mba lol
spotify should essentially create their own music label to compete w the big ones, in the same way netflix started making its own movies/shows, that way they won't have to pay big time royalty fees, they just need the artist talent
Amazing thanks
They are now overleveraged and will be going out of business lol.
There is nothing in this report that speaks to innovation. There is not one drink in this report that was innovated by Luckiin.
amazing content, very informative with actual data. keep up the great work
The new mgmt has been quite extraordinary - dynamic, adaptable, experimental, tightly connected w/ youth culture, conscious about cost cutting, and has a more local oriented bottom-up mindset. Starbucks and Costa look really stale and stagnant in comparison.
I am surprised Spotify does not compete in the concert industry or promote its own artists.
The question is: can we trust their numbers again?
Which software do you use to make videos and animations?
So Spotify doesn't make any money, and artists can't make any money off of it... hahaha... the music industry is fucked... it is paying dearly for all those years when it overcharged for its products and forced consumers to purchase entire albums just to access the one or two good songs they contained. I have ZERO sympathy
I still don’t believe they are still in business
Yes they are.
Your video is amazing, thanks !
This was excellent. Great job and thank you!
lululemon for the Lulu-Amelu
Thank you so much
Their designs are not flattering or beautiful. They make super basic stuff and very overpriced too. They are succesful thanks to good marketing and the fact they are targetting idiot customers with it. For sure the product does not sell itself cause it's shit.
Fraud 😂😂😂
lululemon fabric is amazing and doesnt store smell. even after sweating all day, my shirt smells nothing the next day, UNWASHED.
Please upload more bro!!! you and modernmba are my favorites
Yeah, the other three can offer music at that price because it’s like eggs and milk at a grocery store. You can lose money on them because you make money elsewhere
I’ve never set foot in a Lululemon store but I enjoy knowing things and found this very interesting. I’m also fed up of shite leggings.
I think the extension into shoes and other sports is probably an over extension. They need to better their main offering for comfortable athletic wear and lounge wear instead of trying to diversify into all of these different markets. They are able to stay unmatched with comfortable, stylish fitness/gym wear. Hopefully that will stay true regardless of their attempts at reaching other markets that have already been captured by Nike and Adidas.
Interesting video
Spotify didn’t invent streaming, if anyone did, it would be Real Audio. Having invented nothing, is partly why they have no value. They are essentially a reseller marketplace with a terrible set of agreements with their suppliers, the labels. Spotify gets a nod for packaging it, and putting it on a phone app, which is arguably an un-protectable commodity now, and also owned by their competitors, but the simplicity of streaming was around and commercially viable since the late 1990’s. Good luck.
High royalties? They are the lowest in the industry 😂 How about low subscription fees😂 do something unique, charge more, be a shining star 🌟 and see how loyal your customers are then…tik tok tik tok tik tok
This is truly the art of business
Reminds me of Conspiracy theories of record labels k*lling artists so their sales remain high
Would people say that at its core, Lululemon understands their customer’s needs so well they are able to provide the products for their needs?
I want to try the boba latte
First video I've watched and I feel like I've just found a goldmine of information summarized in a thorough yet concise manner. What an amazing channel, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! Hope you were able to learn something from this video :)
overpriced ... just a fad
This video has nothing to do with the price of tea in Wuhan China.
The brand logo is cooler than the evil looking mermaid.
I always thought lululemon was some kind of new brand, I only found out about this brand because of asian influencers working in tech job, the new "it" brand
Consider adding chapters & flash-cards to separate them + investing more time in music/sound effects for the video - it will boost this already amazingly presented content to new heights due to how RUclipss algorithm works
Thank you for the feedback, will definitely consider adding in music in the future to make it less dry. I thought I have added chapters - are you not able to see them?
@@theartofbiz im a fan of the no music video essays. i hope you don't lol please.
America and the west maybe good about inventing something. But China is really good in doing business.
I’m using lululemon products for 8 years now and counting and its still in good shape. Its expensive but its worth it.
Stop wearing plastic
I'm a guy and I exclusively wear Lulu. The quality and design are THAT good. I still have t shirts that I bought 6 years ago.
